Launching test of the second professional monitoring vessel in the field of environmental monitoring in China
China\'s second professional marine environmental monitoring and investigation ship has been officially launched to carry out follow-up construction and test work recently. The ship has the ability of real-time monitoring specific pollution projects with online instruments and equipment, and will undertake the task of marine environmental monitoring and scientific investigation.
Recently, the construction of the 300 ton marine environmental monitoring ship, which is built in the environmental monitoring ship project undertaken by Qinhuangdao environmental protection monitoring station, has basically completed the construction of the main body of the ship through the stages of sectional assembly and welding, hull closure, engine room pipeline and component welding, and main engine installation and commissioning, and officially launched for subsequent construction and test work.
The 300 ton marine environment monitoring ship project is one of the key sub projects of joint prevention and control capacity construction in Qinhuangdao monitoring capacity improvement project. The design unit of the environmental monitoring vessel is the 702 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Group Corporation, and the construction unit is Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which officially started construction on March 15, 2016.
The ship is a single hull, single deck, double engines, twin propellers and double rudders steel marine environment monitoring vessel. The design total length is 40.35 meters, the speed is 12.5 knots, the endurance is 800 nautical miles, the self-supporting capacity is 10 days, and the wind resistance class is Pu class 8. The main structure is divided into bilge, main deck, steering deck and compass deck. Panoramic cab is arranged on the driving deck, and the investigation operation area, experimental area, living area and anchoring system area are arranged on the main deck. The experimental area covers an area of 87.6 square meters. The ship has 21 people, including 11 crew members and 10 monitoring personnel.
After the ship is put into use, it will be the second professional marine environmental monitoring and investigation ship in China. The ship is capable of sampling hydrology, water quality, sediment and biology in coastal waters, analyzing general routine monitoring items and on-site monitoring items, emergency monitoring and sampling capabilities for sudden pollution accidents in coastal waters, and real-time navigation monitoring of specific pollution projects with online instruments and equipment. It will undertake the marine environmental monitoring work including the Bohai Sea and part of the Yellow Sea, provide strong guarantee for the environmental monitoring of Qinhuangdao City and its surrounding coastal waters, and lay a solid foundation for the effective marine environmental monitoring and scientific investigation.
